Welcome to the Book of the Month! As you can probably guess, I’m going to be posting a book each month that I have recently read and has added value or enjoyment to my life. It can range from personal development and health to plain old fiction. I love reading a believe it is important for keeping our minds vibrant and healthy. If you’d like to read along with me, I’d love to hear your thoughts on these books in the comments below! Think of it as an informal book club!
This month, I’m sharing The Zero Waste Home by Bea Johnson. If you’ve even glanced at the topic of zero waste living, you’ve most likely heard of Bea. This book is a great beginner’s guide to the zero waste lifestyle. I can’t say that I’m zero waste at all, but I have implemented a number of her tips in my home and have loved the results. From bringing my lunches in a cute rolled bandana to taking my own containers with me to the grocery store for bulk items. FYI, Whole Foods will give you a small discount for bringing your own jars/containers when buying bulk items!
It’s a really interesting read and even includes some DIY recipes inside for cleaning products and even your own makeup! I still want to try those out!
Let me know what you think!
